For all those who wrote in asking for it, here you go:
[(800) 715 2135]
Its available between 7 AM and midnight, Eastern Time. If you’d like to speak with a live person instead of wading through the automated voice menu, here’s how:
- Press “Mute” on your phone
- Wait
Yup, seriously.
While I’m in the ‘giving’ mood, here’s another l’il something:
Coupon code 80004745 gets you a four-week free trial.
And of course, the caveat(s):
- Once you get a free trial, even live reps on the phone can’t do much about using that coupon code to give you another free, four-week trial; for the same person at the same address
- They say they have plans all the way up to “8 DVDs at a time”, but they offer only up to “4 DVDs at a time” for the freeloaders; a.k.a YOU
So, the best way to make the most out of your NetFlix freebie is:
- Use the phone number and sign up over the phone for a free, four-week trial
- Be nice to the rep and have him / her get you the “4 DVDs at a time” selection
Ergo, if you’re diligent about returning your movies on time, you’ll probably go through about, say, 40 movies in the free trial period.
Don’t forget: Set multiple reminders to cancel your free trial subscription a day before the trial period ends. Don’t worry about having to return all your DVDs before the trial period ends, though. They offer you a seven-calendar-day grace period to return those.
Does this work for the non-geek who has a life outside of his mailbox and TV, you wonder? I thought you’d never ask! If I qualify as one “of you”, I return 20 movies in a two-week period that I had extended to a three-week period thanks to one of those “do this and we’ll extend your trial by a week” offers that showed up on their front page after login.
So, with a three-week free trial, and a “3 DVDs at a time” plan, I returned 20 movies in a span of about 17 weekdays.
Yup, that’s a good run. And there’s more where those came from. In case y’all didn’t know – one can exchange NetFlix address labels for free movies at BlockBuster.
Yeah. That means…times two. A NetFlix freebie matched by a BlockBuster freebie. Go get it while it lasts!

Love the advice. Thank you.
